Can anyone tell me the function of timer (the countdown number) of a traffic light? Based on my experience, the user (motorists, driver, even pedestrian)) tends to speed up instead of slow down when the number reach 3, 2, and especially 1. This is not just in Indonesia. It happened too in Perth, WA. I saw it when I was there.
The above picture clearly shows that even when the number is at the highest (on green), the motorbike in the middle is already reach across the street. Yes, you’re right. It started to cross when the light is still red but number has already reached 1.
