No urgency to build nuclear power plants in RI: Activists. No wonder we are in energy supply crisis

It is too risky for the country to develop nuclear power plants because Indonesia doesn’t have the technology, like how to treat hazardous waste

Excerpt from Dian Abraham, director of the Anti-Nuclear Society (Manusia) – The Jakarta Post.

Now you have a problem, and instead of finding a decent solution you actually trying to stop an investment for the future, for Indonesia’s next generation. I can see that you’re saying about how abundant our natural resources are. But again, it’s non-renewable resources in which you won’t have enough time to mitigate the effect of energy supply crisis when you realize that the resources are depleted and you don’t have any alternative resources.
